I predicted the stoppage here and Vargas technically got it, but this was a bad stoppage. Quintana wasn’t winning rounds but he was really competitive for a lot of the fight and gave Vargas a great fight. Vargas fought through the adversity well and impressed me, but that stoppage was crazy. Just because he has damage doesn’t mean you should stop it especially when it’s nothing awful and you’ve got one round left.
