Prediction: Emanuel Navarrete by Stoppage
This fight proved to be a lot better than I expected it to be. Navarrete clearly struggled a lot with the weight and that cut over his eye impacted the fight a lot before the stoppage. Suarez was tough and very game but unfortunately he's not the A side so he was never going to get the decision here. I don’t think Navarrete getting the win is wrong and I think it's close enough to have gone either way, however I just think it's hilarious that every single A side gets these types of fights. If it's a "50/50" fight that "could've went either way", then why does it go the way of the A side every time? So I don’t have a problem with the result of this fight, but rather it's place in the larger world of boxing. Edit* I do have an issue with the result now as their is a replay showing the cut was caused by a punch yet the commission are not overturning it. What a joke! Edit* The commission finally changed the result but only to a no contest. They deemed it was a punch so Suarez should have won, but boxing isn’t serious so we Suarez has been robbed.
