Prediction: Andy Cruz on Points
Result: Raymond Muratalla by Points
This was a pretty good pure boxing fight with both fighters being very well matched. I thought both fought very well and I personally had Cruz nicking it, but I don’t have any problem with either guy taking a 7-5 win. Unfortunately boxing has once again let down a good fight with awful scorecards that just leave a sour taste in the mouth. How a judge can watch that and give it 118-110 is just beyond comprehension. Genuinely what was even the point of Andy Cruz showing up? Don’t mind Muratalla winning, but if there was a third fair judge, Cruz might’ve walked away with a draw. These 118-110 type scorecards are genuinely lessening my enjoyment of the sport because I just know they’re coming. Why can’t boxing just consistently get it right?
