This went similar to how I expected. I thought Stevenson would outbox Lopez with relative ease. Lopez has a very good A game but basically no B game. When a fighter can take that away they are in line for the win… it’s just really hard to take that away. I knew Shakur would take it away but I did think Lopez would have much more success than he did. He’s primarily a counter boxer but he just didn’t have any counters tonight. It’s hard to counter a guy who’s as accurate and efficient as Stevenson. All time great performance from him and it’s always great to see an all timer perform in a best vs best matchup. Crazy that he walked Lopez down too. Literally no back foot running like he’s done in some earlier fights. Just pure skill throughout.
