This fight was a fun, competitive one that deserved to be main event. I’m glad the final fight of the night ended up good because the previous fights were stinkers. This one did have too many clinches but there was also good action throughout. I though Roach did a good job countering Cruz all night and aside from a 3 round run in the middle portion of the fight, Roach won the clearly. Sure I can see this fight being closer than I scored it, but he still won this and it’s awful that he’s once again been robbed. Back to back fights he’s fought the A-sides and been robbed because they don’t want him to win. Absolutely shameful. He should resign with Top Rank, move back down to 130 and fight Foster. I wish they had fought when Roach was still a champ at 130. What a fight that would’ve been.
