This fight was pretty easy for Hiraoka who boxed out of his mind behind a brilliant lead hand. His counter hooks were brilliant and so was his jab that snapped Barroso’s head back at every opportunity. He remained disciplined throughout and took out the old “boogeyman” Barroso. I think Barroso’s last few fights have made him look a lot better than he actually is and a really good fighter like Hiraoka showed that. He’s a problem for everyone at the top and should be a champion by the end of next year.
